Independence Day Tea Cosy

Emma was approached by HotHive Textiles (formly The Textiles Directory) in may '09 to create an object and a project pattern for its readers in celebratation of America's 4th July Indpendence Day.

"I chose to create a tea cosy representing the Stars and Stripes flag. What better way to mark a pivotal event in America's fight for independence - The 1773 'Boston Tea Party', its also links America's past and present relationship with Britain - a country well reknown for it's love of tea and a drink I am very partial to!"

Visitors to the HotHive Textiles website (www.thetextilesdirectory.com) can choose to download the pattern to make the Boston Tea Party Cosy or purchase a Limited Edition Boston Tea Party Cosy made by Emma, from the site''s Shop. Alternatively if tea isn't your 'cup of tea' (sorry thats a dreadful pun) you can buy a Coffee Pot Hat for your morning brew.
