If you would like to book a Wristwarmers / Fingerless Gloves workshop for yourself or your group, please contact me to discuss a suitable day or register your interest in a furture workshop. Thank you.
When the days are chillier, why not join this fun half day workshop? You will learn how to make a pair of hand felted wool wrist warmers or a pair of fingerless gloves to keep you warm this winter.
Choosing colours of your choice, you will learn how to work with a resist pattern, lay out the wool fibres and fuse them together with just soap, water and elbow grease. You can use a selection of fibres, yarns and fabrics to add further surface decoration to your felt to personalise your gloves with your own unique design.
A fun and practical workshop to make a functional and wearable piece of art work - a gift for a loved one or for you to keep!
Your tutor will be Emma Jackson, a felt maker with over twenty five+years experience teaching, designing & making felt for her award winning textiles company, Silversoles. The workshop will take place in her home studio in South Birmingham with a small group. Please note: the studio is situated at the bottom of a garden with one step up to access the building.
The workshop starts at 10am and runs until 2/2:30pm, (please arrive at 9:45 for a 10am start). Please get in touch if you would like further information. We aim to finish at 2pm but have a half hour built in to allow for additional time in case you need it to complete your project.
Please read the Workshop Terms & Conditions carefully before booking to familiarise yourself with our Refund Policy, Use of Handouts & Designs, Photograghy & Recordings. By booking a place on our workshops you are agreeing to our Workshop Terms & Conditions. Thank you.
