Develop your wet felt making skills with a dedicated weekend focusing on a variety of techniques to inform your future projects. Over the weekend you will learn the technique processes, practice the technique(s) by making references samples, gain an understanding of how to design and incorporate the techniques into your future feltmaking projects.

During the workshop you will

  • Create at least 4 technique reference samplers
  • Discuss how to make, adapt & apply the techniques for future projects.

Day One: Craters & Cracked Mud

Day Two: Inlays, Inclusions & Layers.

  • You are welcome to bring along yarns/fibres/fabrics you might like to incorporate into your felt samplers.

This workshop takes place between, 10am - 4:00pm each day at Silversoles Studio.

You have the option to book each day separately as a stand alone workshop, if you wish to attend to focus on the techniques that will be delivered on that day. See the booking menu to select your preferred option.

A most enjoyable day! Emma’s studio was warm and welcoming and was a lovely space in which to work. Emma was an excellent tutor, explaining each stage of the feltmaking process clearly and answering any questions that arose along the way. She provided a fantastic array of materials and taught us techniques for using them to best advantage .
