Experience the luxurious comfort of a curly Gotland - Felted Sheep Fleece Rug!

Hand made from the fine Gotland fleece, this rug is a testament to our commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. The fleece is sourced from the Hollyhock Flock raised by Sue Cole on her farm in the New Forest, England. It was a pleasure to meet Sue and her flock this summer, hand pick the fleeces and then transform them into felted rugs using traditional felting techniques. I hand felt each piece, meticulously shaping and transforming the raw fleece into a unique rug that will make a stunning addition to your home.  These rugs embody my passion for ethical craftsmanship and will transform your living space with a touch of natural elegance.

Our felted fleeces are a wonderful addition to your home and can be used as rugs, chair throws or as bench mats. They also look magnificent as a statement wall piece,  showcasing the beauty of the soft white and grey curly locks.

Dimension: 80 x 60cm

What is a Sheep Fleece Rug and how is it different to a Sheepskin Rug?

Ethical  | Sustainable  | Environmental Friendly

Unlike sheep skin rugs, which come from deceased sheep's tanned hides,  Sheep Fleece Rugs are crafted from soft wool fleece carefully sheared from the living sheep, ensuring a sustainable, animal friendly and compassionate choice. Our hand felted fleeces are naturally strong and warm, made with 100% felted sheep wool, a renewable resource with a low environmental impact. All our fleeces are sourced from UK flocks & carefully sheared from living sheep, meaning the sheep continues to enjoy life in the fields to grow a new fleece. Each fleece has its own unique characteristics & is as individual as the sheep it came from.

Felted Fleeces are a high quality, ethical choice for anyone looking for sustainable decor with a touch of luxury.

A most enjoyable day! Emma’s studio was warm and welcoming and was a lovely space in which to work. Emma was an excellent tutor, explaining each stage of the feltmaking process clearly and answering any questions that arose along the way. She provided a fantastic array of materials and taught us techniques for using them to best advantage .
